Please let me take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Melissa Joseph and I am the Director of Cambria County Consumer Family Satisfaction Team often known as (C/FST). As an initiative to a growing professional relationship that will benefit both of us, I would like to give a brief overview of C/FST.
The Consumer and Family Satisfaction Team (C/FST) was initially established in 1990, and can be found in every PA County. C/FST represents an innovative approach to gathering data by organizing a team to conduct surveys with individuals that are members of Magellan. (Magellan is the managed care company that pays for Mental Health/Drug & Alcohol/IBHS services for those who are utilizing medical assistance in Cambria County). Surveys are contacted through confidential face-to-face and/or telephone surveys.
C/FST conducts over 400 surveys annually and is required to survey a specific number of Children/Families Mental Health & IBHS services, Drug & Alcohol services, and Adult Mental Health Services a year. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, our team has been primarily conducting these surveys via telephone. Our preference is, and always has been, face to face surveys. C/FST performs surveys inside facilities to accomplish this. When surveying at a facility, C/FST does require a private room with door to create a safe and confidential space to conduct the survey. Typically, the survey takes only about 10-15 minutes. This amount of time can vary depending upon how many services are being utilized. C/FST is very excited to get back into the field to conduct face to face surveys.

Cambria County Consumer/Family Satisfaction Team
Consumer Family Satisfaction Teams (C/FST) can be found in every Pennsylvania County. C/FST is made up of consumers who have received or are currently receiving services, family members, and persons in recovery. C/FST conducts confidential, voluntary, face to face interviews with consumers of mental health and drug and alcohol services in Cambria County. C/FST collected information is shared with local providers, Magellan, and Cambria County Behavioral Health/Intellectual Disabilities and Early Intervention. The C/FST survey process helps to improve services, identify gaps or trends in service provision, identify consumer needs, and provide a voice for the consumer/family perspective. All employees of C/FST programs must comply with all state and federal laws, regulations, and rules regarding confidentiality of mental health consumers and recipients of drug and alcohol treatment services.
Who can participate?
Individuals who receive Cambria County medical assistance, utilizing mental health and/or substance abuse service and supports from local providers.

By participating in the survey your voice is heard in evaluating and shaping services and support on all levels.
