Cambria County Consumer/Family Satisfaction Team
Consumer Family Satisfaction Teams (C/FST) are active in every county in Pennsylvania. These teams, made up of consumers who are either past or current recipients of services, family members, and individuals in recovery, perform confidential and voluntary face-to-face interviews with recipients of mental health and substance use services in Cambria County. The collected data is then shared with local service providers, Magellan and Cambria County Behavioral Health/Intellectual Disabilities and Early Intervention. This survey process helps enhance services, identify gaps or trends in service provision, address consumer needs, and amplify the consumer and family perspective. All C/FST members must adhere to all state and federal laws, regulations, and rules regarding the confidentiality of mental health and substance use treatment consumers.
Who can participate?
Individuals who receive Cambria County medical assistance, utilizing mental health and/or substance abuse services and support from local providers.

I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Melissa Joseph, and I am the Director of the Cambria County Consumer Family Satisfaction Team (C/FST). To foster a growing professional relationship that will benefit both of us, I would like to give you a brief overview of C/FST.
Established in 1990, the Consumer and Family Satisfaction Team (C/FST) operates in every PA County. C/FST takes an innovative approach to data collection by organizing a team to conduct surveys with members of Magellan, the managed care company that funds Mental Health, Drug & Alcohol, and IBHS services for those utilizing medical assistance in Cambria County. These surveys are conducted confidentially through face-to-face and/or telephone interactions. Annually, C/FST conducts over 400 surveys, covering Child/Family Mental Health & IBHS services, Drug & Alcohol Services, and Adult Mental Health Services. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our team has primarily conducted these surveys via telephone, though our preference is face-to-face surveys. When surveying at a facility, C/FST requires a private room with a door to ensure a safe and confidential environment. Typically, the survey takes about 10-15 minutes, though this can vary depending on the number of services being utilized. C/FST is very excited to return to face-to-face surveys in the field.
I am always available to talk to you about any questions or concerns you might have. Please don't hesitate to reach out. You can email me at mjoseph@pendropincenter.org or call me at 814-254-4342.
